First Year of Activity of the Privilège Student Ventures Program supported by the Privilège Foundation.
On May 30, 2023 in the setting of Villa Sassa in Lugano, we celebrated the first year of activity of the program Privilège Student Ventures supported by the Privilège Foundation.
The event, organized thanks to the sponsorship of Allianz, was a unique opportunity to celebrate the conclusion of the first year of the program.
During the evening, the mission of the Privilège Foundation was presented, which was created to promote the education and development of entrepreneurship and the investment process in the venture capital sector in university students. During the meeting, students were able to share their experience and what they learned along the way with one of their mentors. In addition, one of the startups that made it to the final stage of the student selection process was able to present in front of the audience in the hall.
The program, which started last fall, involved two groups of students selected last summer from the universities of Lugano and Milan. Throughout the course, each student was followed by a dedicated mentor with whom he or she was able to engage in regular discussions. This was complemented by webinars and regular meetings held by various experts who were able to share their expertise on specific topics.
Below is a brief description of the program:
Selection Process: The program begins with a rigorous selection process to identify students with an excellent academic record, leadership potential and a passion for entrepreneurship.
Mentoring and guidance: Selected students are matched with experienced mentors from different fields pertaining to the venture capital world, who provide advice, counsel, and support along the way. Mentors help students select business ideas, analyze strategic plans, and understand the challenges associated with starting and running a business.
Webinars: The program offers a series of webinars that focus on various aspects of entrepreneurship and venture capital. Students learn from industry experts and successful entrepreneurs who share their knowledge, experiences and best practices.
Investment: Each student team had the opportunity to prepare an investment proposal to the Board of Trustees related to a specific startup.
